Volunteering at Johnson County Library is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful local organization. Johnson County Library is more than just a place to check out books; it’s a hub that offers a wide range of services, programs, and resources to enrich the lives of its residents. Volunteers play a pivotal role in ensuring that these services are accessible to all, helping to maintain the library as a strong community asset.

Last year, Friends volunteers gave more than 18,000 hours in service to their community – and processed an estimated 600,000 donated and ex-library items.

How can you help?

Getting involved in volunteering at Johnson County Library is straightforward and highly rewarding. Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or can commit to a more extended project, there are opportunities to suit your availability and interests. Here are a few ways that you can help:

  • Processing book donations
